Present: Fritz Caspers,
Elias Métral, Federico Roncarolo, Benoit Salvant.
"no geese yet in sight !"
On the theoretical side, Elias will try
to gather the results obtained in the past by Piwinski and
others. Fritz also has some papers available.
Experiments on collimator jaws:
there is a clear drift of low
frequency measurements due to temperature.
we have to see what is responsible
for this drift (instrument, jaws or coil).
to enhance the signal to noise ratio,
more turns or a transformer could be tried out.
a temperature sensor from AB/CO was
borrowed and will be set up for continuous measurement next
to the testbench
we could use a room where the
temperature is kept constant. The room where the 101 magnet
of the PS is stored is such a room. I'm seeing whether we
can use it with AB/PO.
